You can travel the Great Western Highway through Bathurst then the Mitchell Highway to Orange (119 km from Forbes) then the Escort Way and Forbes Eugowra roads.

Travel the Great Western Highway through Bathurst then the Mid Western Highway through Blayney to Cowra and the Lachlan Valley Way to Forbes.
From Forbes you can travel the Newell Highway to Parkes 30 km and onto Dubbo - 152 km
Also travelling the Newell Highway it is1029 km to Brisbane and 685 km to Melbourne.
